But when life slows long enough for us to take pause... we see what we have allowed. It is then that we discover what it is that we need to do to reverse the actions which got us to our present condition. It is then that we discover CHOICE. In thought, in speech, in understanding, in people, we have the choice to, accept, encourage or decline.
Life began innocently, and used to be so simple. It is in that simplicity that we find who we are, and the joy in our surroundings.
And you can see how this sheep is enjoying the moment here. The touch from this little girl is gentle on his face, as he takes in who she is from how she smells. Harmless comes to mind.

I wrote this at a time when I was still hopeful that my borderline sister would get this gentle nudge in the kindest way it could ever be meant. It was a confession of how things were working for me and full of so much hope for her. She never got it - never wanted to - never even cared.
