The only thing the past is good for now is what we can learn from it. Lessons gleaned all together and placed in an imaginary basket, are gold on an imaginary shelf.
Every once in a while, we can pull the basket down and thumb through it for an answer to a present, posing problem. Bingo. The answer is there, and the basket is respectfully replaced.
Notice you didn't stop on this or that lesson and wallow in self pity. Those lessons were smiled on - not relived.
