The borderline's intentions are good, unlike their counterpart, the narcissist. They mean well, but their judgement and distrust dissolves those intentions.
While they don't trust, it's amazing how borderlines are so quick to believe the narcissist. So they are also believers, which can be attractive.
Depending on which way their mood is swinging, they can be lots of fun. It is when they are stressed the least that you will enjoy this time. They can be funny, enjoying a good sense of humor.
There is a innocence to them, the borderline - They mean well, want well, work hard for well, but mess everything up with the anti social behaviors.
Borderlines are quick to judge themselves as harshly as they judge others - so while they are the opposite of the narcissist in that regard, it is amazing how many of the narcissist's traits the borderline carries. Still, borderlines do not mean to be the way they are - in fact, one of them told me that he/she seriously isn't aware of having any such behaviors.
The best thing about a borderline is their intentions are good, and secondly, they are not prolific liars.
They would be terrific family members, friends, and members of society if they only would do the work to get better.
If you know of a borderline who is asking for help, I recommend AJ Mahari online. She's the best I've seen so far. There's always hope... always a way out... always a new day.
