| What to do when Life brings you a Narcissist |
I'm going to try to express the degree of freedom one feels when this whole psychopath narcissistic nightmare is behind you.
I no longer find myself just shaking my head "no" while pondering all the lies and manipulations - all the hurt, and all the accomplices who believed the NM.
Waking up in the morning with good thoughts is a beautiful thing. Just as going to bed at night, thinking only on the day and what your goals might be for tomorrow seems a welcome relief from lying there asking myself WHY. I no longer care.
You know that's the secret. You really have to get to that point. To the point that you no longer care why she does it, why others believe her, why you suffered so many years before finally going no contact, and why you are still here thinking about WHY.
Just kick dirt over that shit and move on. That shit is both the crazy making things that the narcissist did to you and others AND the other shit is her/him. It's all shit and so are they. It's not you. You have nothing to do with any of the behaviors of the narcissist. The lies aren't even real and so why do you care? The "relationship" with the narcissist isn't real either - so why do you still care?
Unfortunately loved ones that are the narcissist's accomplices / flying monkeys have to go. You cannot expect to maintain any kind of real relationship with them either because they are for now anyway believing the lies. So what's in their minds about you isn't real either. Your relationship with them isn't real as long as they are dealing with and believing the narcissist. This is the worst part of what the narcissist does. But you must move on from even loved ones in such a case.
Yep do like the dogie here does and kick dirt and grass over that shit and move on. Enjoy your new found freedom and breathe deeply. Laugh much. Listen with a clear mind. Be present, and be thankful you are actually still here to do so.
