There is a paralyzing, primal fear, which threatens to undermine and destroy everything we do, but we learn that while fear is our greatest obstacle in life, it remains the easiest one to conquer.
Until we do conquer fear, it will hold tight to the center of our being - always there - so much doubt, threat, and negativity.
As we grow emotionally, primal fear, fostered by life's circumstances becomes a parlor trick. We come to realize that such fear really is only fear itself.
Then when we do encounter evil and even monsters in life, they are powerless unless we choose to allow them to truly affect us.
Those of us tortured by the power we've given fear might think for a moment about the possibilities for a life without fear. Without fear, there is no stopping us - we could do so much more, as we've seen in other forms of life.
Take the Sea Sponge for example. Scientists know that if you blend a Sea Sponge into bits, it will become the same intact Sea Sponge once again. I find it interesting that we are not talking about plants here - these are animals, also. Where there is life, anything is possible.
Whether we find ourselves at a crossroads in life, or flat on our backs in a black depression for one year - The point is, eventually it comes down to choice that will improve our situation. When we choose to not allow fear or the illusion of fear to affect us anymore - that's when we see our lives coming together again.
If a Sea Sponge can become whole after literally being torn asunder, anything in life seems possible.
From the stardust in the center of the furthest star to the stardust within our DNA - We are resilient, vibrant, and alive, and where there is life remaining, there is hope. ~ ~ Kathleen Susan Wheeler Awad
